The BZB formed in 2013 as a vaudeville burlesque troupe in Flagstaff Arizona. Each performer developed an original character, collaborated on skits and worked with a live band. The troupe developed 4 original shows, each one sold out, including the “Big Show” at the Orpheum Theatre, selling out 1,000 seats.

Malena’s character was Ms. Lucy James, sweet and sassy lassy from the deep South. She was a card shark and a manipulative man-eater who served as an apprentice for the (terrible) magician. Their skits combined slap-stick comedy with swing dancing.
